If you’re looking for coffee, a chicken sandwich or want to eat out New Year’s Day, there is a smorgasbord of options.
Unlike Christmas, when many major chains closed, more restaurants are open for the start of 2020.
Most Chick-fil-A restaurants are open from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the company said in a blog post.
However, for local restaurants, your mileage may vary on how far you’ll have to travel to find an open restaurant.
Half of local restaurants remain open on New Year’s Day, according to an analysis from Womply, a small business software provider. But you will have to be patient.
“With half of restaurants closed, and people itching to get out with their friends and family, your favorite local restaurant may be more busy than usual on New Year’s Day,” said Brad Plothow, Womply vice president of corporate marketing and communications, who suggests checking for adjusted hours.
