New bakery Bien Cuit now open in Crown Heights – Hoodline

A new bakery and cafe has opened up shop in the neighborhood. The new arrival to Crown Heights, called Bien Cuit, is located at 721 Franklin Ave.

Bien Cuit serves up sandwiches, quiches, breads and desserts. On the menu, look for the turkey and caper mayonnaise on a croissant, the kale and pesto tartine and the sweet potato, feta and rosemary quiche. Chocolate chip cookies, chocolate fudge brownies and gingersnaps are also available, as well as apple danishes and almond croissants. 

With a 3.5-star rating out of 16 reviews on Yelp so far, the new bakery has received mixed feedback from guests.

Giovanni R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Nov. 6, wrote, “Nice new french bakery. I tried a croissant and espresso, both really tasty.”

And Franny A. wrote, “Backyard is lovely, but space inside is a bit limited. Otherwise top-notch offerings in a cutting edge location.”
