The promise of a dairy-free, gluten-free, vegan popsicle that tastes like a Dreamsicle may sound too good to be true, but reviews on the Jonny Pops website beg to differ. Of the nine customer reviews posted, all of them are five-stars and one commenter summed up the appeal of these pops, saying, “Oh my gosh. These are AMAZING! They are so creamy and perfectly sweet, I am amazed that they are gluten and dairy free! So thankful to find treats like these that fit my dietary restrictions. It tastes just like a dreamsicle that I remember eating as a kid. Refreshing and satisfying treat. Definitely a must try if you find it in stores!”
According to the Instagram post that tipped us off, finding these Dreamsicle copycat pops in stores might be the only problem. Apparently, the Orange Smoothie and Oat Milk pops are a limited-time deal, they’re selling fast (at just $9.99 for a 12-count box, we’re not surprised), and they are only available in certain midwest and southeastern cities. If you can’t find Jonny Pops copycat Dreamsicle pops at your local Costco, just remember Costco has a vegan option in the frozen yogurt section of their food court. Granted, it’s an acai swirl with none of the nostalgia of a Dreamsicle, but it might hold you over until you can get your hands on the vegan version of the real thing.
