Chef Mike Sarlo LLC announced its launch of a virtual cooking lesson and demonstration company. Chef Mike Sarlo provides remote cooking lessons and demonstrations for corporate events, retreats, team-building activities and other group events. Working alongside him, participants receive step-by-step instructions, useful cooking tips and the opportunity to ask questions as needed. An ingredient list is sent in advance, often with some quick instructions on how to prepare so that the lesson goes smoothly for all. Recipes can be simple or more complex.

The company was formed in response to the needs of businesses that are taking in-person corporate meetings and events and transitioning them to a virtual format. Activities and social events that were held in person are now held remotely. Virtual cooking events work well as attendees can participate and cook the items being prepared, or they can opt to sit back and simply watch for entertainment.

Chef Mike can customize menus. A group that was scheduled to meet in person in Chicago, requested a windy city menu, complete with deep dish pizza. With the holidays approaching, bookings for Thanksgiving-themed events, as well as a red and green salsa preparation party, are on the schedule.

“As the youngest of ten children, I come from a family where cooking was an activity in which we all took part. I am delighted to have opportunities to share my knowledge and my love of good food with others” said Chef Mike.

Mike Sarlo has 15 years of chef experience, including a position as banquet chef at a five-star restaurant in Denver, and has taught classes to at-risk families and children on how to cook healthy meals on a budget. He developed a series of cooking CDs in conjunction with two national grocery chains and has trained dozens of chefs and catering personnel. He has also coached football, taught high school and earned two master’s degrees. Currently, he is a full-time professor of computer science at Grand Canyon University.
