Cottage Farms Bakery is a locally owned bakery and farm located on 9262 Farm Road 79 in Sumner.
Kaysie and Conrad Dyck, along with Kaysie’s parents, Carrie and Earl Bethea, have spent the last two and a half years working to make their dream come true. The dream, Kaysie said, is to have a generational farm that one day her and Conrad’s son, Mason, will inherit.
Cottage Farms Bakery offers coffee sourced from a Dallas roasting company, locally sourced honey from Coronado Honey, homemade fudge, taffy, chili kits, scones, sugar scrubs and so much more.
For the current season, Cottage Farms Bakery has set up a pumpkin patch for the community to come and enjoy with coffee and all kinds of sweet treats. Kaysie said there are definitely plans in motion for growth and bigger projects. They already have plans for the Christmas season up their sleeves.
Kaysie wanted to make Cottage Farms Bakery feel like home and she more than succeeded. With windows wrapped around the building and the smell of coffee and sugar lingering in the air, it is hard to feel anything but joy.
