Kittie’s Cakes has a pair of new faces in charge.

Formerly owned by duo Kellie and Mollie Frankhauser, Kittie’s posted a statement to its social media accounts that a new pair of owners–Diane and Steve Herman–have taken over ownership of the popular bakery.

Kittie’s has two locations, one in Bexley, at 2424 E. Main St. and another in German Village, at 495 S. 3rd St. The Hermans have taken over both locations.

“We are so excited to announce that we are the proud new owners of Kittie’s Cakes in Bexley and German Village,” Diane and Steve Herman said in a statement. “We are looking forward to our continued partnership with the residents and visitors of these fantastic communities. Stop by and say hello to us and our wonderful team of bakers and baristas!.”

And while the Hermans are new faces, the spirit and atmosphere of Kittie’s will remain in large part unchanged. According to Steve Herman, the bakery’s new owners even plan to reconnect with the store’s original mission of community action.

“When Kellie and Mollie started Kittie’s it was a neighborhood coffee shop that was really linked to the community, and that’s really what we want to get back to: being involved in the food tours, farmers markets, Pelatonia and more” Herman told 614Now. “Both Diane and I will be in the stores almost every day.”
